Project how much your retirement savings could grow to by a target age, based on your current savings, monthly contributions and an expected annual return. Starting with PKR 500,000 saved, contributing PKR 20,000 a month, and earning an average 8% annual return, a 30-year-old could realistically be looking at more than PKR 30 million by age 60 — most of that growth coming from compounding in the final decade.

How to use Retirement Savings Calculator

Step-by-step guide to the boxes below. Open it only if you need help.

  1. 1
    Current age Number

    Your age today.

    Example: 30

  2. 2
    Retirement age Number

The age you want to stop working. It has to be higher than your current age.

    Example: 60

  3. 3
    Current savings Number

What you have already saved for retirement. Type 0 if you are starting fresh.

    Example: 5000

  4. 4
    Monthly contribution Number

How much you will add every month from now on.

    Example: 200

  5. 5
    Expected annual return % Number

The yearly growth you expect from your investments. Be modest, a lower guess is safer than a rosy one.

    Example: 7

  6. 6
    Press “Calculate”

Click the button under the boxes. If something is missing or not valid, a short message tells you which box to fix.

  7. 7
    Read your result

You see how much you could have at retirement and how much of it is growth rather than your own money. Change any box and try again to compare different numbers.

Retirement Savings Calculator FAQs

What return rate should I use?
A commonly used long-term average for diversified stock market investments is around 7-8% per year, but actual returns vary and are never guaranteed.
Does this account for inflation?
No — this projects nominal future value. To estimate real (inflation-adjusted) value, reduce your assumed return rate by the expected inflation rate.
How much difference does starting early actually make?
A large one — thanks to compounding, money invested a decade earlier can end up worth substantially more, even with smaller total contributions, than money invested later.
Should I include my employer's contribution?
Yes — if your employer matches part of your contribution, include that combined monthly amount for a more accurate total projection.
