Does this handle tiered commission structures?
No, this calculates a single flat rate. For a tiered plan, run each tier through separately and add the results together.
Is the commission taxed the same as salary?
That depends on your country and how your employer processes it. This tool only calculates the commission amount, not take-home pay after tax.
How is sales commission calculated?
Total sales × commission rate. At 5% on 20,000 in sales, commission is 1,000.
What is a tiered commission?
A structure with higher rates as sales rise, such as 3% up to a target and 5% beyond it.
